About Candler.
Candler is session replay and store analytics built by the owner of Amison Jewelry, a WooCommerce store. It was made to replace Lucky Orange there, and it still records that store every day.
It started on a working store.
Amison Jewelry needed to know why shoppers who got as far as the cart didn't buy. A visitor count couldn't say. A recording could, but only if you could find the right one among thousands.
So Candler was built around the order. Every recording knows what was in the cart, whether checkout started and whether the shopper paid. Funnels link each drop-off to the visits that left there. Orders come from the store itself, not the browser, so ad blockers and closed tabs don't lose sales.
It still runs on Amison every day. Most of what a real store throws at a tracker, like cached pages, a new checkout or a payment that confirms an hour late, showed up there first and got fixed there.
Who runs it.
Candler Analytics is a small, independent business in Missouri. It's paid for by subscriptions, at the prices on the pricing section, with a free plan and no overage charges. Support email is answered by the people who build it.
Candler's servers are in Nuremberg, Germany, rented from Hetzner. Recordings, visits, orders and backups stay there or in encrypted storage in the EU. The subprocessors page lists every company that handles your visitors' data.
What Candler won't do.
- Sell visitor data, or use it for advertising.
- Set ad pixels, or build profiles of people across other websites.
- Store IP addresses with visits.
- Record what people type into forms. Every field is masked in the browser before anything is sent.
- Add AI features. Candler shows you the visits. You decide what they mean.
- Charge you for going over your plan. Recording pauses until next month instead.
Why it's called Candler.
A candler is the person who holds an egg up to a bright light to see what's inside without breaking it. That's the job here: see inside every visit, without getting in the shopper's way.
